Summer Edwards, BA (she/her/hers)—
I am an LPC intern completing my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. I believe you cannot control what life throws at you, but you control your thoughts and attitude. I want to help clients find meaning in experiences and learn to view life through a lens of hope and positivity. I am passionate about working with parents of chronic illness and medical trauma, but I welcome all types of clients. I enjoy narrative, reality, and strengths-based approaches to therapy. However, therapy techniques should be tailored to the client's needs.

I am the proud mother of two boys who are my whole world.  I have a 70 lb. dog, Thor, who thinks he is a lap dog. My youngest son was a micro-preemie and is also a liver cancer survivor. When not spending time with my kids, I enjoy true-crime documentaries/podcasts, board games, and crafting.
